EXPERIMENT TIME
Dark and Light – Day and Night | Genesis 1:3

Follow the directions for the experiment activity at the bottom of the article page. Memorize Genesis 1:3 and Genesis 1:5 for Friday!
Materials:
- Flashlight – You can use a phone flashlight if you need to
- A dark room (light switch off, be careful!)
- Some string to attach a ball to (with sticky tape)
- Somewhere to hang the ball
- A colored sticker – you can color a piece of tape with a marker if you need to
Directions and Steps:
- Firstly memorize Genesis 1:3. Then, after you have hung the ball, ask your friend to be ready to shine the flashlight on it.
- Switch off all other lights.
- Call out Genesis 1:3 to the person holding the flashlight: ‘Then God said, “Let there be light!” and there was light.’
- Look at the ball. You should see that only one half of the ball is in the light, while the other half is in darkness.
- Now stick the colored tape onto the ball at place where the light and shadow meet. Turn the ball slowly so that your colored tape travels first through the dark, then emerges into the light on the other side, and returns near to you again.
So what does this all mean?
Remember in Genesis 1:5, ‘God called the light day, and the darkness He called night’. So if the ball represents the earth, it’s the light half of the ball (the earth) where it’s day-time, and the dark half of the ball (the earth) where it’s night-time. One night/day cycle represents one day—the time it takes for the earth to rotate once. Who invented that? God did! When you turned the ball (the earth) so that the coloured tag passed first through dark (night) and then through light (day), it was like what happened on the very first day: ‘And there was evening [night-time] and there was morning [day-time], one day.’
Show-off your Genesis 1:3 Earth and Light project on ZOOM meeting this Friday at 1:30!
Answer these questions:
- Which half of the ball is daytime and which half is nighttime?
- How many spins makes 1 whole day?

The main idea of the story is to stop spreading the virus because a lot of people leave their homes a comeback and don’t wash their hands.

1. By informing us of information that we do not understanding. They could also teach us a better way to share. For example, if we share our jobs with AI it may have a positive outcome.
2. They could become chemist or scientist, it could be a great way to get more accurate measurements and to solve scientific issues that humans cannot.
B.
1. Because of certain movies and popular belief, robots have been stereotyped as dangerous and untrustworthy. I think that humans feel that if they see something that similar to themselves, it will replace them.
2. They could live among us and be treated equally to humans.
C.
1. They would work for themselves, there would be no need for us to control them. AI would simply live alongside us and make decisions for themselves. Yet, there is an extremely low chance that they would be accepted.
2. No, not until she can fully understand emotions, voting is a very important decision that takes a lot of contemplation and using statistics alone might not have the best outcome. So, I don’t believe Sophia would be ready to vote yet.

Q.A1
They can teach us how much information they are able to hold and use at any moment. They can also motivate us to conduct more experiments and learn how much they are actually able to handle.
Q.A2
The AI could help manage more factories so that people can get jobs that will allow them to rest more and have more times to do activities with their family. Another way the AI may benefit us can be through technology or social media. For example, the AI could be working technology and providing educational information for all ages.
Q.B1
The thought of robots taking over our world would scare some people generally. The reason why I believe people are scared of this type of technology taking over may be because they wouldn’t want AI or robots to see into their live or understand the ways we work.
Q.B2
Humans are able to have a mind of their own without being controlled or even monitored by someone incase they lose control. Robots are generally controlled by people and are generated to say or do whatever someone wishes.
Q.C1
If robots identify themself as a person of there own and don’t wanna be controlled anymore, they will most likely not listen to anyone. I would assume that all of the AI robots or robots that are made, would have a way to connect them all by a shut down button whether it’s on a screen or one a table.
Q.C2
In my opinion, I believe she shouldn’t be able to vote because she isn’t able to have a thought or opinion about someone or something. Everyone should be able to have a opinion about someone and anything but because Sophia isn’t able to have these thought process I don’t think she should be able to vote.

Question B1. Humans would be scared if they lose control of robots because robots are machines and if you do something wrong to a robot it will go crazy.
Question B2. Robots are designed things that humans create. Humans are unique because God made us in his own image.
Question C1. If robots wanted to work for human the person they wanted to work for would be their boss. We would have to pour water on it and create a new robot that is a working robot.

1. Tropism is when plants are drawn to their essential needs, which are sunlight and water. The Greek word tropos means turning.
2. Geotrophism is when plants can sense the pull of gravity upon them and they move in that direction. The stem of a plant will move up toward the direction of the sunlight to grow and will direct the roots to grow down.
3. Phototropism is when plants bend towards the sunlight, some of the leaves that are bent towards the sunlight will grow so that they can bend the other leaves towards the sunlight.
4. Due to phototropism, leaves grow flat to gain the most sunlight. The leaves grow faster on the edges than the middles to sustain this growth.
5. As humans, we get energy from sleeping, eating, exercise, and essential vitamins such as vitamin A, C, and D.
6. Plants go through photosynthesis to store up energy from the sun.
7. The hydrogen and oxygen from the water molecules can combine with the carbon dioxide to form starches and sugars, which give us energy, such as from fruits and potatoes.
8. No, plants have very important roles on this earth from keeping us healthy and nourished to providing more oxygen need for us to breathe. God designed the world with everything we needed to survive, so life without his detailed design would cease to exist.
9. We need a relationship with Jesus.
10. In John 8:12 Jesus says that he is the light of the world and whoever follows him won’t walk in darkness but in light with him.

1. Tropism is when the plant is attracted to the water and sun. Tropos means turning in Greek.
2. Geotropism- when the plant can sense the pull placed upon it’s due to gravity and will direct root growth in the direction of that pull.
3. Phototropism- when the light falls upon one side of the shoot, the other side will grow faster to bend the leaves towards the light.
4. Leaves grow flat so that they can actually be able to get sunlight. If they were curved, the whole leaf wouldn’t be able to access the sunlight because half of it would be in the shade. Phototropism.
5. Food gives us life just like water, rest, and exercise
6. Plants go through photosynthesis to store up energy from the sun.
