  3. Ada was riding her horse being nosey and she saw a suspicious man. She went to the authorities but the first police didn’t believe her. But the second police did believe her and they both got in the cop car to go look for the dude. And then they found the dude then the dude started to talk like a girl so ada went home and came back on the next day. And found out the dude was a spy then people called ada a hero. The next day mam came back to get ada then susan tried to stop her but she couldn’t so susan gave jamie’s favorite book but mam said he didn’t need it then susan then said she will take care of butter for her then susan was holding the sattle without saying goodbye.

  4. When Ada was going for her daily ride, she saw a suspicious man in a rowboat coming to shore. He was burying something in the sand and tying a cloth to a barbed-wire fence. Then, Ada saw the same man walking up the road she and Butter were on. Ada turned Buuter around and they galloped away. She thought he was a spy. She told the police but, didn’t believe her. They got in the squad car and started to drive towards where she saw him. They saw him walking up the road. The police realized he was a spy. The people called Ada a hero because she alerted the police.

  5. Ada and Jamie continued to get abused by mam. Ada used a bucket to use to bathroom. Ada started talking up to mam. They argued about her foot. Mam did not want the kids. Mam said she hated having a cripple child. Jamie wet the bed and mam hit him. Ada told mam she could take care of herself. Ada wanted to leave with Jamie.

  8. Jamie and Ada wanted to go home. Jamie lost a shoe and dried up blood ran down his neck. The building looked like missing teeth. Jamie ran to Susan and put his dirty face on her skirt. Ada ran up to her too. They all walked to a restaurant. Susan asked Ada where was her crutches and her shoes. Jamie slumped on the table and fell asleep. They all got on the bus. Someone brung butter the horse to Ada and said he is ok. Jamie got tossed around in a bucket for a celebration.

  10. disregard my first reply. I hit send before my gigi could look at it. This is my summary for chapter 45 and 46. An explosion happened because of the air raid. Ada and Jamie were hurt from the broken glass and the shock wave.then they Susan and they were happy. They caught a train and went home but their home was destroyed. They were sad their house was destroyed but happy to be together.
